Saturday, July 10th, 2010

JEFF and the JUMPTONES …resurrect the golden-days of the blues. This highly talented, energetic group brings an international flavor to America’s only true art form. Up-beat and low-down grooves will remind you of the innocence of years gone by. The JUMPTONES serve up a soulful mix of Texas Shuffles, New Orleans Swing, West Coast Vibes, and Chicago blues!

The STP blues jam #138.8 at Sam’s Town Point on June 23

Tuesday, June 22nd, 2010
Note: “The Eagle Flies on Friday” Jam will not be happening this Friday, 6/25, due to a party at Sam’s.   The Young Generation, a full band of young but good players, will be playing.   I like ‘em.  Come in and check ‘em out.   No cover.
The Friday jam will resume July 2.    Same format as Wednesdays but a more open genre(except rap, grunge, metal).  Blues, classic rock—who knows.
Our regular Wed bass player, Jack, has opened a cafe.   Due to the cafe’s success he will not be able to play with us as much so we are looking for a house bassist on Wed (and Friday as well).   Come in, check it out, be checked out, and see if it’s a fit.
