This is NOT AN OPEN MIC but a friendly JAM. If you are respectful of others and their playing time/abilities, get up to play then get down when someone else should play then this will be for you. This is not designed for a whole band or one person to play most of the time. It is for musicians to meet musicians and learn from each other. It is to perfect your “chops”. It is for networking. Be respectful of Sam’s and don’t “blow them out the doors”. This applies to Wed and Fridays. It will not be strictly a “pro” nor an “American Idol” jam but hopefully somewhere in between. I hope all who participate (house band and jammers) can take this to heart. It doesn’t mean a player can be loud or horrible and keep playing more songs either, but if a song doesn’t go the way someone wants and it’s over, what good does it do to berate anyone about it? Offer civil comments and suggestions or tell them to step down if necessary and then explain. It’s a friendly jam! Miss ya Cronk & Klein. Thanks Jimi Lee and others for your support in the early beginnings of The Jam almost three years ago.
House Band this Wed: Jeff Grant, guitar/vocals; Mikel Graves on bass; Joe Bliskey, drums.
